Large payload and long reach - DENSO Robotics presents new robot series

DENSO Robotics presents the new VM robot series, which sets the high performance standard of DENSO robots even at higher payloads and longer arm reach in various demanding applications and expands the DENSO product range of compact industrial robots.

In addition to outstanding acceleration and speed performance combined with maximum accuracy, the VM-1500 / 1800 models feature, among other things, a completely enclosed housing with fully integrated cable and wire routing and offer either special dust and splash water protection (protection class IP 67) or, with protection class ISO class 5, ideal conditions for use in clean room areas. This makes them suitable for special tasks in industries beyond standard applications in automation, such as the automotive supply and electronics industries, as well as pharmaceutical and medical technology.

Furthermore, grippers, sensors and other peripheral devices can be easily and safely implemented on the robot arm through internal cabling (EtherCAT). With a maximum reach of 1,506 mm (VM-1500) or 1,804 mm (VM-1800) and a payload capacity of up to 25 kg, both models enable a wide range of applications, e.g. for tasks such as (de)palletizing, assembly, transport and packaging.

Exclusively, both robot models are equipped with the new RC9 controller from DENSO Robotics. This new generation controller offers a higher level of open, flexible, and easy integration through the intelligent control architecture with integrated PLC functionality and ease of use.
