Compact Z-θ actuator with 3-integrated functions
New is the actuator with three functions in a compact housing, for fast linear and rotational movement combined with a suction/vacuum (V) function.
The actuator is based on the BSSP-series from manufacturer KSS, whereby the spline shaft processing of the ball screw allows a mixed linear (Z) and rotating (θ) function on only one axis. In addition, air absorption or a vacuum function is also possible through a hollow shaft. The result is a compact design and low weight, rather than using and arranging these mechanical components individually. The versions are available as direct drive, hybrid drive and belt drive.
The belt drive Z-θ actuator has the advantage that the function is added to the drive as an additional function in mounted motors with electromagnetic brake or encoder.
