The digital warehouse: achieving sustainability with 3D printing
If you walk through our customers' production facilities, you will quickly notice that each individually printed component has a
serial number or component identifier. "If a component or part of an assembly is damaged or worn, a replacement part can be reprinted on-demand. This helps avoid long delivery times and inventory costs. Colleagues then simply give the appropriate number through we in design manufacture the part immediately."
We sometimes had a delivery time of 2-3 weeks for complicated milled parts, even internally. Now we can manufacture the components overnight.
