Added Value, Quality, Relevance – Motek/Bondexpo 2026 was Brilliant!

The 43rd Motek international trade fair for automation in production and assembly, together with the 18th Bondexpo international trade fair for bonding technology, was a resounding success with enthusiastic exhibitors and 6385 satisfied expert visitors. Industry experts presented solutions for modern, forward-looking manufacturing in Stuttgart during the course of the three-day event. Cooperation with the VISION international trade fair for image processing, which was held simultaneously at the same venue, was widely regarded as beneficial and rewarding.
152 exhibitors showcased the latest innovations in modern industrial manufacturing in hall 6 of the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre from the 6th through the 8th of October, 2026. For the first time ever, expert visitors were presented with the opportunity of leveraging synergies as a result of VISION taking place at the same time in immediately adjacent halls 8 and 10, as well as the new EFX event (Expo for Electronics Manufacturing) in hall 9. “This interaction has provided our expert visitors with unique added value,” concludes Motek/Bondexpo project manager Georg Knauer. “The atmosphere at the trade fair was characterised by a highly dynamic, lively working environment right from the very start. Attention was focused entirely on quality and thematic relevance. Numerous exhibitors have reported highly specialised, concrete enquiries and keen interest amongst the expert visitors. On the other hand, visitors were able to make the most of their time at the trade fair thanks to the strong thematic focus and minimal legwork. We’re very pleased with this year’s Motek/Bondexpo,” says the project manager.
Added Value, Complementary Features and Significant Benefits for the Industry
Ralph Lehleuter, managing partner of MAFU in Rosenfeld, Germany, was overwhelmed by the large number of visitors and the technical quality of the specific enquiries discussed at his booth. The company specialises in feed solutions and disentangling technologies, as well as palletising and screw driving systems, and is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year … the mood was festive at the trade fair too. “Combining Motek/Bondexpo and VISION has proven quite fruitful and is particularly beneficial for customers, who are able to scrutinise the entire process chain and take a holistic approach to facilities planning.”
Peter Droege, CEO of Maddox AI, also expressed his “great satisfaction” with how the trade fair had gone off, noting that “large numbers of people” had visited his booth with specific requirements and sought answers to their questions during in-depth technical discussions. The company’s expertise lies in identifying defects during production, ultimately helping to reduce scrap and minimise material consumption. The managing director rated this year’s Motek/Bondexpo as “top notch”.
“Beneficial Collaboration for Everyone Involved”
Exhibitor Vision4Quality from Würzburg also agreed with this verdict: “The event format offers a beneficial collaboration for everyone involved,” notes Thomas Kürschner, co-founder and managing director at Vision4Quality. The company offers AI-based automated optical inspection and operator guidance systems, thus bridging the gap between manufacturing and image recognition. Staff member Jörg Schaffner confirms that “highly productive discussions” took place at the exhibition booth and stresses the significant benefits derived from the complementary themes covered by the neighbouring trade fairs.
Not least of all, tremendous satisfaction was also evident at Asyril from Offenburg, Germany. Sales engineer Victor Neumann confirmed large numbers of visitors and interesting discussions on modern feed technology – for bulk goods and other materials as well. “The current trend amongst users focuses on low volume and high mix, combined with simple systems integration via plug-and-play without the need for in-house expertise,” explains Alexander Roller, managing director at Asyril. This was also a key topic of interest at Motek/Bondexpo, with the goal of making feed technology in production more efficient, saving time and money and achieving flexibility for all types of parts.
Targeted Transfer of Knowledge at the Presentation Forum
Trade fair visitors also demonstrated great interest in the presentation forum, using it specifically to address their particular concerns regarding everyday business operations. For example, the sessions on AI in image processing, digital worker guidance, AI-assisted inspection processes and the outdoor use of AMRs all attracted a full house. All of the presentations were entirely relevant and highly practical.
“We’re very happy with the positive responses to this year’s Motek/Bondexpo,” emphasises Bettina Schall, managing director of trade fair promoters P. E. Schall. “As a tradition, we focus on quality, relevance and proximity to the market. In the meantime being held once every two years, the compact three-day format and, now, the partnership with VISION have all proved to be extremely beneficial and rewarding. Efficiency and conciseness have reached new levels with regard to the trade fair visit, as well as the subject matter. In this way, the automation sector benefits from a more focused platform which facilitates in-depth discussions on future-proof manufacturing technologies,” notes Bettina Schall. “This year’s Motek/Bondexpo has once again demonstrated that trade fairs are, and will remain, extremely important,” adds the managing director. “Manufacturing companies find answers to their questions by means of personal contacts, targeted technical discussions and practical solutions. We look forward to further valuable interaction on this exceptional working platform and extend our cordial invitation to all interested parties to attend the next Motek/Bondexpo, which will take place from the 24th through the 26th of October 2028!”
