Motek/Bondexpo 2026: Optimised Resource Utilisation and Synergistic Effects

Preparations are running at full bore for the 43rd Motek international trade fair for automation in production and assembly, together with the 18th Bondexpo international trade fair for bonding technology. Suppliers and users of production technology will meet in Stuttgart from the 6th through the 8th of October, 2026. During the course of the three-day event, expert visitors will discover modern solutions for automated, integrated manufacturing processes. Simultaneous scheduling together with the VISION international trade fair for image processing opens up new opportunities for synergies and user benefits.
Traditionally, Motek/Bondexpo brings the industrial manufacturing sector together at a practical working level. Suppliers and users of systems and solutions for product manufacturing across all sectors come together here to discuss new options for improving processes throughout the entire value chain. Attention is always focused on practical relevance, feasibility and user benefits. The trade fair duo is thus a tried-and-tested meeting place for all industry stakeholders who, on the one hand, offer solutions for sustainable, efficient automation and, on the other hand, need to put them into routine daily practice.
Industry Gathering for Manufacturing and Image Processing
For the first time this year, the autumn event will cooperate closely with the VISION international trade fair for image processing. Both events will take place at the same time in the same place, and are open to all visitors with just a single ticket. Optimised use of resources – in terms of space, time and technology – and bundled communication result in increased effectiveness with regard to addressing target groups and visitor reach, and the two events complement each other with their high levels of practical value. This makes it possible for manufacturing companies to plan their facilities holistically and connect with all of the right people on site. For example, image recognition and AI-assisted image processing are utilised in the field of feed technology, which is a key topic at Motek/Bondexpo. Due to the fact that part sorting, separation and handling are increasingly integrated into fully automated systems in modern production facilities, a wide range of technological expertise, as well as all relevant collaboration partners, come together at the trade fair.
Greater Benefits and Cost-Effectiveness through Synergies
“We’re excited about the collaboration between the two trade fairs,” says Bettina Schall, managing director of trade fair promoters P. E. Schall. “Both events represent significant pillars within the trade fair landscape and are of paramount importance to both target groups. Holding the two trade fairs simultaneously offers genuine added value for exhibitors as well as expert visitors, because image recognition and image processing are integral components of automated production processes. The entire industry benefits from being able to discuss sustainable manufacturing technology in a focused and efficient manner over three days at a single venue. We’re pleased to be able to provide an ideal working environment for everyone involved together with Messe Stuttgart. You’re all cordially invited to take advantage of this collaboration and explore new opportunities for synergy.” These opportunities will enable manufacturing companies across all sectors to generate tangible benefits for their everyday operations. And thus by showcasing integrated workflows, Motek/Bondexpo will provide new impetus and set the standard for competing successfully in the manufacturing industries.
Alongside VISION and Motek/Bondexpo, EFX (Expo for Electronics Manufacturing) and Quantum Effects will also take place at the same time. EFX is a new industry event for electronics manufacturing, showcasing trends and technologies in the production of electronic components. As a trade fair and conference for quantum technologies, Quantum Effects bridges the gap between science, startups and industry. Bringing together four trade fairs at a single location will establish Stuttgart as a hub for decision-makers, developers and visionaries from around the world. A single ticket entitles visitors to attend all events.
